My family and I love to celebrate each other and spend time with one another, especially when we have those special moments and the perfect opportunities that allow us to do so! It's definitely a blessing to be able to make memories with one another that we can look back on.
Recently, we had the chance to celebrate my Aunt Laura during her wedding weekend! Due to COVID-19 there were limited things that we could do, so my cousin and I put our minds together and came up with the idea to have a very intimate celebration for her. We wanted to make sure that she enjoyed her last weekend as a single woman, so we came up with the most fitting bridal shower/bachelorette experience that we could possibly plan.
We started the weekend with a fun "Girls Night In" filled with matching PJ's, laughter, dancing, music, food, fun and drinks! The following morning, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast before gearing up for the big bachelorette day!
To add to making my aunt feel special, we provided keepsake cookes that said "Future Mrs. Rucks" and in addition to that, the ladies and I decided to wear matching t-shirts, with my aunt of course standing out in true fashion. We called ourselves "The Squad", because we were her special squad for the weekend! The squad consisted of her Mom, older sisters, bestfriend, daughter, god-daughter, and neices! In addition to that, we got personalized wine glasses, to include our names, as a keepsake for the day!
We set dinner plans at Jim Brady's in Royal Oak, but my aunt had no clue which restaurant, neither did she know that our special guests would be my grandma! We definitely could't celebrate the day without the matriarch of the family!
Prior to dinner, as all of the ladies were dressed and ready to go, we surprised my aunt with one of the best gifts. She wasn't ready to be chauffered in a 2020 Mercedes Benz Sprinter Limo!
We asked her to come outside, as we shuffled and pretened to gather up in our own perspective vehicles, but as she stepped outside, she heard the sound of Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and saw the black, shiny, mercedes benz pull up, ready to ride her around for the evening with her "Squad" in style!
We headed to dinner, celebrating and toasting to the new journey that she was about to begin! During dinner, our special guests -- her mom -- was already at the restaurant, and that was yet another surprise. After dinner, we took a little bit of time to bless her with a few bridal shower gifts for her personal use and to share with her husband-to-be!
Her reaction to the entire day and evening was definitely one to remember! It truly felt great to be able to spend time together, laughing and enjoying life and major milestones on her journey to being a loving wife!
Of course I couldn't let the day go by without documenting a few highlights of the day, so check it out below!:)
