This is by far my most favorite time of the year! The holiday season not only brings cozy weather, but it's also a time to celebrate with loved ones, while indulging in those special dishes that I've been waiting to eat all year! Thanksgiving and Christmas, hands down are my favorite holidays. Celebrating this time of the year always reminds me of how blessed I am even more, especially when I get the chance to spend time with my family! I also understand that not everyone gets that chance to be with family, and I also understand that this time of year can bring about emotions that remind you of those loved ones that are no longer around, but in the midst of it all, you still have to be thankful for the present moment.
This time of year brings out my creative side for sure. I love creating the perfect tablescape for my family. Every year, it's always a different look, and this year I wanted to do something elegant, while incorporating the fall colors that I love, as well as making sure I brought the entire theme of Thanksgiving to life right at my dinner table.
Keep in mind that when you create your tablescape, it doesn't have to be expensive and you can certainly use items that you already have around your home, but if you want to spruce up your table, you can also get minimal items to display the overall theme that you have in mind.
This year, I decided to use my everyday table decor, with a mixture of other items to make sure that I created enough space for our 10 guests. The essential items that I used included: Woven Placemats; Floral Shaped Placemats; Antique Charger Plates; Gold Charger Plates; Pale Turquois/Gray Dinner Plates; Clear Dinner Plates; Wine Glasses; Water Goblets; Dinnerware; and Napkins. The decorative items that I used included: Gold Pumpkin Candle Holders; Greenery Garland; Candles; White Mini Pumkins; Gold Mini Pumpkins; Champagne w/Gold Trim Ribbon; Menu Cards.
I always search the internet for ideas, but when I create the finished product, it is by far -- my own creative ideas brought to life and that's one of the things I love when it comes to decorating in my home, no matter the occassion.
Check out a few highlighted photos below and don't forget to check out my Youtube video for that additional look at how my "Elegant Holiday Themed Tablescape" came together. Enjoy -- and have an amazing holiday season to all!
